Christmas closure dates
All MND NSW offices and InfoLine will be closed for the holiday period from 12pm on Friday 23 December 2022 and reopen on Monday 9 January 2023.
Phones and emails will not be monitored during this time.
Let's Celebrate International Day of People with Disability
On 3 December 2022 we celebrate International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).
The theme is “Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fueling an accessible and equitable world.”
Volunteer Spotlight - meet Deidree
In our very first Volunteer Spotlight, we'd like to introduce Deidree, who has been volunteering for MND NSW since 2012.
Deidree has been holding stalls in shopping centres each month in the Bateman's Bay area, raising awareness about motor neurone disease and selling MND NSW merchandise to help fund the support, equipment and education services we offer to people living with MND, their carers and families.
World Compassionate Communities Day
The first World Compassionate Communities Day was celebrated on 1 November 2022 in recognition of the Compassionate Communities movement. The movement promotes death and dying, loss and care as everyone’s responsibility.
