Since 2010, Jill Paton has been coming to volunteer for MND NSW at our Gladesville office, often helping us to pack merchandise, and our Print News to ensure they get to you!
She has also taken part in Walk to Defeat MND events, assisted as our receptionist, and sold MND NSW merchandise to fundraise for us.
“My father died from MND and I wanted to help in some small way to assist in bringing awareness to the community and also raise money for MND NSW,” Jill said, “It’s a very worthwhile cause.”
Jill feels it’s important for people to volunteer for MND NSW, and enjoys assisting everyone in the Gladesville office, including her fellow volunteers.
“I think volunteering is important personally for my dad, but also the world can’t get by without volunteers!,” she said.
“Being a volunteer assists the staff at the MND NSW office in Gladesville to do their important work, and the other volunteers are great and we have really interesting conversations.”
