People living with MND must have access to equipment and assistive technology that meets their changing needs. Experiences vary across the country.
47% of respondents to the Australian MND Community Survey 2025 struggle to find health professionals with MND experience and 49% said they do not have all the equipment they need.
In response, MND NSW is developing a free national e-Learning course on the MND Hub for allied health professionals. After completing the course, learners will have a stronger understanding of the equipment needs of people living with MND and increased confidence in prescribing appropriate equipment.
Better understanding = Better equipment prescription = Better outcomes, for everyone.
