FlexEquip is the equipment and assistive technology service of MND NSW.

You are over the aged of 65 – no cost

If you are over the age of 65 with a diagnosis of MND and without an NDIS plan, you are eligible to hire as many items as clinically required from the FlexEquip library.

MND NSW will cover the equipment hire cost, including delivery and maintenance.

You are an adult with an NDIS plan – cost is paid from your NDIS plan

If you have an NDIS plan with assistive technology and equipment funding you are eligible to hire as many items as clinically required from the FlexEquip library, this is called a bundle subscription. 

The NDIS will pay for the hire, delivery and maintenance cost with funds from your NDIS plan.

Let your NDIS Coordinator of Support (COS) know that you are eligible for FlexEquip, and they will make sure you have funding in your NDIS plan.

How to get equipment from FlexEquip

All equipment from FlexEquip must be prescribed by a treating health professional. This could be your occupational therapist, speech pathologist, physiotherapist or other suitable professional.

Five easy steps:

1. Complete our online intake form and we will send you a Service Agreement to sign
2. Tell your health professional you have joined FlexEquip
3. Have your equipment needs assessed by your health professional
4. Your health professional completes a referral on the FlexEquip website for all the items you need
5. FlexEquip arrange delivery and deliver items to you.

Have a look at the FlexEquip product library, so you know what items are available. Your health professional will use the FlexEquip website to make equipment referrals using the shopping cart.

There is no limit to the number of items you can hire from FlexEquip.
