Don McMurray has been a dedicated supporter of MND NSW for over a decade, honouring the memory of his beloved wife June, who sadly passed away from MND in 2011.
Don's commitment to giving back has been extraordinary, organising at least ten charity musical concerts through his church which have brought communities together whilst raising vital funds and awareness for MND NSW.
When the world slowed down during COVID, Don didn't let age or circumstances stop him. At the age of 90, he created a fitness video to encourage others to stay active and healthy during lockdowns, inspiring many with his energy and positive spirit.
Now 94, Don continues to find new ways to make a difference. Last year, he wrote and sold the cookbook 'Don's Delights', generously donating all proceeds to support people living with MND and their families, and earlier this year made another fitness video.
His fundraising journey continues with another special event coming up in November:
MND Charity Concert
14 November | 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Grace Auditorium
342-344 Lake Road, Glendale (Newcastle)
The event will featuring the Waratah Male Voice Choir under the musical direction of Harry Holliday, accompanied by Michael Rigny, plus a number of other talented groups and artists. Onsite parking is available. Find out more or support the event here.
MND NSW is incredibly grateful for Don's dedication over the years - he continues to make a lasting difference, inspiring all of us to keep moving forward in the fight against MND.
Thank you Don, for your amazing support of our MND Community!
