Activities like walking, gardening, yoga, hydrotherapy and others that involve physical movement can help to strengthen or maintain healthy muscles whose nerves have not yet been affected by MND.

Physical activity can also help maintain your range of movement in your joints, reduce stiffness and pain and be positive for your overall wellbeing and enjoyment of daily life.

You may want to think about the activities you enjoy doing, and discuss with your healthcare team how you can be best supported to continue to do them.

Note: MND can also be known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's Disease.
