This year, we are marking 40 years since we first started as an organisation so it’s a very special time for all of us here at MND NSW.

Advance is the newsletter of MND Research Australia - the research arm of MND Australia.

The EMERALD trial is a double blind placebo clinical trial looking at the benefits of medicinal cannabis for MND. This is a study looking at the effects of a liquid form of medicinal cannabis in treating patients suffering with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Lily’s Story 

When Lily’s Dad was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in July last year, at first she thought he was going to say that he had cancer. Lily was preparing for that, as she’d already lost so many family members to cancer in recent years.
