MND Week is coming up soon - this year it will be held from May 2 to 8.
It's a time to raise awareness of MND, and how it impacts the lives of those with the condition, as well as their families. MND NSW provides support to people with MND, and we need your help during MND Week to raise funds to continue providing the vital services and equipment that we do.
The research project, ALS Quest, is approaching its deadline on 28 May 2021. This study is looking for risk factors that might contribute to the development of motor neurone disease (MND) and is an online anonymous questionnaire which asks a series of questions that may provide clues as to what factors trigger MND in some people.
Special occasions like Easter can tend to focus on enjoying and sharing food with family and friends. This can be a challenging time for someone with MND, who may have a modified diet or a PEG, and they may feel that they are missing out. So, we have some suggestions for ways to make enjoyable treats for those with dysphagia so no one misses out on their Easter chocolate!
